The Finnish American Heritiage Society is dedicated to perserving our Finnish Heritage. Our meeting hall located in West Paris, Maine, is not only our meeting venue once a month, but also home to our museum, library and gift shop.

Educating and Sharing
The mission of the Finnish American Society of Maine is to educate and inform those interested in our Finnish culture, our history and our future. The picture to the right is a statue located in Hanko in honor of those Finns who have immigrated to other parts of the world

Socializing in the Community
The Finn-Am provides a wonderful opportunity to interact with the community. Our open houses and public suppers are an exciting way to not only meet and greet old friends, but also create new ones.

As a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving our heritage, the Finnish American Heritage Society takes great pride in where we come from and hope to pass that appreciation on to future generations.
Membership
Membership is open to any person of Finnish origin or any person married to, or having been married to a person of Finnish descent. Membership includes subscription to THE MAINE FINN, the informative and entertaining quarterly newsletter.
Junior Membership Certificates are available for persons of Finnish descent under the age of 18.
About Us
The Finnish American Heritage Society was formed in 1982 as a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving Finnish heritage, celebrating Finnish culture and educating the community about Finnish customs.
We invite all Finns and their families to join us for a rich assortment of community event.
