Sausage soup is one of Finland's favorite easy-to-make dishes loved by folks of all ages. It is quick to make and cooked with simple ingredients but warms you up on a chilly day.
Ingredients:
2-3 Cups water or chicken stock 3 small potatoes (peeled and diced)
2 small carrots (peeled and diced)
1 small onion (chopped)
1/2 bouillon cube (if you're using water)
1 bay leaf
3 sausages (sliced) Use hot dogs, German if you can get them, or British bangers
salt and pepper to taste
1 tsp parsley
Directions: Add the chopped ingredients and bay leaf to boiling stock and cook until fork tender. Add sliced sausage. Season to taste and add parsley. Hyvää ruokahalua!
